Bespoke Roasts are the order of the day at award winning Unruly Pig

Guests of the award winning Unruly Pig in Woodbridge can now choose a bespoke roast they wish to be cooked and carved in front of their party by Head Chef, Dave Wall – who previously cooked at Bibendum, Claridges, The Boxwood Café and Le Talbooth in Dedham.

This ‘bespoke’ private dining experience is a new initiative from Brendan Padfield and his team as they continue to cut new swathes through the Suffolk dining scene.

Customers choose whatever roast they wish ahead of the day and the team at The Unruly Pig design the menu to suit the tastes of the group. For example, joints such as roasted stuffed saddle of lamb, roasted rib of beef or roasted suckling pig can be supplemented by starters like a Cauliflower Veloute with Roquefort and Hazelnuts, and topped off with puddings such as a Coffee, Mascarpone and Frangelico trifle.

Prices start at just £27.50 per person for three courses – and includes the hire of the private dining room.

Brendan Padfield, owner of The Unruly Pig, says: “Our bespoke roasts have been a runaway success. They are ideal for a special celebration, family treat or just a lazy Sunday afternoon with friends. It seems to hit the spot for families wanting a get together where the children can have the run of the room without a care in the world. It has also been particularly popular with larger groups staying in Suffolk for a special party and those who want some privacy and a roast with a difference to finish off the weekend.”

As well as being East Anglia’s only Estrella Damm UK Top 50 Gastropub, The Unruly Pig is recommended by Michelin, The Good Food Guide and Harden’s Guide, the AA Pub Guide, The Good Pub Guide, The Sunday Times, the Financial Times and many foodie magazines.
