Golf is back at Ufford Park! Play safe. Stay safe.

Ufford Park in Woodbridge are delighted to be able to re-open the doors to their award-winning golf course, following nearly two months of closure.

From one-way systems, social distancing markers throughout golf reception and new guidance displayed on the 120-acre course, a team of skeleton staff have been busy working hard behind the scenes to make sure all Government guidelines are being met in order to reopen Ufford Park Golf Club safely.

Michael Halliday, Golf Manager at Ufford Park Golf Club said: “Lots of changes have had to take place with the Golf Department in order for us to protect our staff, members and visitors. We want to reassure people that we are following all Government guidelines, as well as those from England Golf, to make sure we are doing everything we possibly can to keep you all safe during this time”.

Over the last few weeks, Ufford Park Golf Club has seen the return of hundreds of members and regular visitors. “It’s been wonderful to see so many familiar faces able to return to us and play the sport they love – it really has helped to lift everyone’s spirit and see the light at the end of the tunnel” said, Michael Halliday. “Adrian Hollins, our Head Greenkeeper, and his team have been working tirelessly doing a fantastic job keeping the course well-maintained and it’s looking in great shape – although we are all looking forward to the rain forecast following the driest May on record!”

Ufford Park is waiting in anticipation to hear what the Government announcements regarding re-opening the hotel, bar and restaurant and the gym during July.
Tarnia Robertson, Managing Director, “We are all in the dark at the moment as to when Ufford Park in its entirety is able to open. We are aware there will be limited numbers of people allowed to visit us to ensure we can adhere to social distancing and maintain the safety of our members, visitors and staff, which of course remains our top priority. It has been a worrying time for everybody over the last two months, but especially for the Hospitality industry. The business goal is simply ‘survival’ during this crisis and I remain positive, that with the help of my team, we are able to survive the difficult times that still lay ahead of us.”
