The Bell Hotel in Saxmundham is set to host a special culinary event on Thursday, 12th October, inviting food and wine enthusiasts to a Bordeaux Gourmet Dinner. This event promises an evening of fine Bordeaux wines paired with French cuisine.

Starting at 7 pm, guests can enjoy a four-course meal, all for £75.00 per person, which includes a welcome Aperitif – the Lillet Spritz.

The first course features a Confit Chicken & Pork Terrine with raisins, artichoke puree, charred artichoke, and pickled porcini mushroom. This dish is paired with the Château Haut-Maginet Bordeaux Blanc.

The main course is an 8oz Ribeye Steak known as the Entrecote Bordelaise, served with roasted shallot & red wine sauce, bone marrow, and pomme gratin. This course is paired with two Bordeaux wines, the La Réserve de Léoville-Barton from Saint-Julien and the Château Batailley from Pauillac.

Cheese enthusiasts will appreciate the trio of Bordeaux-produced cheeses: Beaufort D’ete, Coloummiers, and Roquefort, accompanied by Damsels crackers, grapes, celery, and chutney, paired with Château Cissac from Haut-Médoc.

And dessert lovers can indulge in the Le Jesuite, with Creme Anglaise, paired with the Château Monteils from Sauternes.
