Saxmundham Community Fest to Return in 2026 — With an Extra Day Added

Saxmundham Community Fest will return next summer with an extended three‑day programme, following the huge success of last year’s event. The 2025 festival drew its biggest crowd yet and was widely praised for bringing the town together through music, arts and local talent.

Organisers have now confirmed that the 2026 festival will take place on Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August, with all days free to attend. The additional Sunday has been added in response to strong public demand.

Festival organiser Terry Barrow said the team had been “blown away” by the community’s support. “Last year’s festival exceeded all expectations,” he said. “With so many people asking for more, we’re pleased to be extending the 2026 event to three days. We’re already working on a programme that reflects the best of Saxmundham.”

The festival secured three years of grant support from the Sizewell C Community Fund in 2025, alongside continued backing from Saxmundham Town Council. Organisers say this funding gives them the stability to plan an even stronger programme for 2026 and 2027, with events suitable for all ages.

Further details — including the full line‑up and dates for fringe activities — will be announced in the coming months. Work is already underway with local groups, performers and businesses to build on the momentum of 2025.

Local musicians are also being invited to get involved. Applications to perform at Saxmundham Community Fest 2026 are now open, with organisers keen to showcase home‑grown talent. Interested performers can apply by emailing mattsaxmusicfest@gmail.com
