Re: BEE Anglia
BEE Anglia are hosting a meet up for Carbon Charter members and other environmentally progressive businesses on Thursday 24th May, 5pm-7pm aboard The Sailing Barge Victor – Outside Old Custom House, Common Quay, Ipswich IP4 1BY.
Accommodating up to 40 passengers, Sailing Barge Victor is an inspired choice as a venue for a networking event with a difference. Although it will remain docked at the quayside for the event, no-one is likely to forget a business meeting aboard a historic sailing barge!
The barge is stable, comfortable, safe and well-equipped, with modern facilities on-board and a finger buffet is provided, plus there is a licensed pay bar.
The Business Energy Efficiency (BEE) programme provides free support to eligible organisations in Suffolk and Norfolk to help them become more energy efficient;
Free energy reviews – Our energy experts will visit the business’ premises to conduct a free, impartial, independent review to identify the best cost and carbon saving opportunities.
Grant funding – BEE has a pot of grant funding to support participating businesses to implement energy efficiency measures.
Carbon charter accreditation – Help your business stand out from the crowd with the Carbon Charter – fully funded by the BEE project. Support is subject to confirmation of eligibility; the criteria are minimal and you won’t need to wait long to find out if you’re successful.
Travel planning – With congestion a growing cost across Norfolk and Suffolk, businesses are increasingly using Travel Plans to help reduce their environmental impact.
