Event: IoD host International Women’s Day lunch

East of England’s Institute of Directors have teamed up with EADT Suffolk Magazine to host a lunchtime event to celebrate International Women’s Day.  The event, which will focus on the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across Suffolk and North Essex, takes place on Friday, 8th March at Seckford Hall, Woodbridge.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is #BalanceForBetter, building a gender-balanced world where everyone has a part to play. From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. International Women’s Day notices its absence and celebrate its presence. Balance is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue.

As well as networking and lunch, guests will have the opportunity to listen to three guest speakers – Professor Emma Bond, Director of Research at University of Suffolk, Leona Barr-Jones, IoD Fellow & Ambassador for Diversity, Inclusion and the Armed Forces and Simon Barrington, Founder & Director of Forge Leadership Consultancy.

This event is open to both members and non-members.
