Exciting news for musical theatre lovers as two sensational touring productions – Come From Away and An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical – visit Ipswich Regent Theatre on tour next year.
Come From Away, is a globally acclaimed ‘Best Musical’, embarking on its inaugural tour of the UK and Ireland. Fresh from the West End, where it completed over 1,000 performances, this critically acclaimed production is looking forward to visiting local theatres – including five shows at Ipswich Regent Theatre in July!
The show chronicles the true story of 7,000 air passengers from across the world who found themselves grounded during the aftermath of 9/11. It’s heart-warming saga of a tight-knit Newfoundland community that embraces ‘come from aways’ into their lives.
In September get ready to be swept off your feet as the magnificent An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical takes the spotlight in Ipswich. Based on the iconic 1982 film starring Richard Gere, audiences can enjoy a tale of timeless love, courage, and redemption.
This romantic tale is an emotional rollercoaster set to an electrifying soundtrack featuring the hits of music legends Madonna, Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper and Blondie and includes the iconic song (Love Lift Us) Up Where We Belong.
One performance of each musical includes British Sign Language interpretation. Come from Away will appear in Ipswich, 2 to 6 July 2024 with a British Sign Language Performance on 4 July. And, An Officer and A Gentleman the Musical 10 to 14 September 2024 with a British Sign Language Performance on 12 September.
