BEE Anglia grant helps Roland Plastics cut lighting costs

Roland Plastics is based in Wickham Market and manufactures bespoke plastic injected mouldings and assemblies in a wide range of thermoplastic materials. It has recently been awarded grant funding from the Business Energy Efficiency (BEE) Anglia project to upgrade the lighting in the workshop areas to more energy efficient LED lights.

Following an independent energy audit, Roland Plastics successfully applied for a grant of £3,500. The energy savings gained by this project will amount to a cost saving of £2,000 per year, which will support future business growth while helping the environment.

Ursula Austin, Sales and Marketing Director, Roland Plastics, explains: “At Roland Plastics we continuously strive to improve our cost base therefore enabling us to offer our clients best quality coupled with competitive pricing. In addition we are introducing ongoing improvements to be become greener and more environmentally friendly. Thanks to the efforts and support by the BEE Anglia project led by Cllr Hicks we are able to meet both criteria. Their help is much appreciated and we would recommend working with BEE Anglia on any potential project.”

The BEE Anglia project has three core offers that have been designed to help businesses reduce carbon and save money using independent advice, funding and recognition for their efforts.
