Penn Commercial pays a visit to The Suffolk Punch Trust

The Penn Commercial team was pleased to visit The Suffolk Punch Trust on 26th October 2022, as part of its major sponsorship deal with the charity.

Penn Commercial signed up as one of The Suffolk Punch Trust’s major sponsors in June 2022. Under the 12-month sponsorship deal, Penn is supporting The Trust with a donation of £15 for each commercial property transaction that it carries out.

In 2021, award-winning Penn transacted nearly 70 deals, and was named Suffolk’s leading commercial property agent by industry expert, EG.

The Suffolk Punch Trust was founded to help protect the critically endangered Suffolk horse through its established breeding programme, raising public awareness and training a new generation of professionals to work with these iconic heavy horses.

Vanessa Penn, Managing Director of Penn Commercial, said:

“At Penn Commercial, we believe that it is important for us to play an active role in the causes that we choose to support. As such, we were thrilled to visit The Trust this week and to get to meet some of the magnificent Suffolk Punch horses that the charity works so hard to preserve.”

Penn Commercial is also supporting the valuable work of The Trust with joint promotions and activities.

Sonja Moon, Visitor Centre Manager at The Suffolk Punch Trust, added:

“It is lovely to forge links with local companies and Penn Commercial’s valued contributions will support the Stud Farm operations – vet bills, training, shoeing and maintenance – and help us to save this critically endangered species.”

After several years restoration work and the construction of a purpose-built Visitor Centre, The Suffolk Punch Trust opened to the public in 2010. It celebrates the history of the farm, its horses and rural Suffolk life, and puts The Suffolk Punch Trust – home of the Hollesley Bay Colony Stud – firmly on the tourist map.

In addition to the Suffolk Punch horses, the 120-acre Hollesley site now offers a range of visitor attractions, including a café, gift shop, Heritage Museum, Pets’ Paddock, a children’s play area and the Suffolk Heritage Garden, which holds a ‘National Collection’ status.
