Penn Commercial celebrates 15 years of success!

Penn Commercial is celebrating 15 years of trading, having been established by Vanessa Penn in September 2007.

To commemorate this milestone achievement, the Penn team invited friends, clients and colleagues aboard historic sailing barge, Victor, on Friday 23^rd September 2022 for a picturesque voyage along the River Orwell, with complimentary catering provided by renowned Ipswich-based Mariners.

Penn Commercial opened its doors – with great optimism – at the height of a global recession, and is now Suffolk’s leading independent commercial property agency, as recognised by EG in its ‘On-Demand Rankings’ of the UK’s top-performing agents in 2021.

Last year alone, Penn achieved a total of 68 deals, equating to 464,515 square feet of industrial, office and retail property sales and lettings.

Notable successes over the years include arranging the sale of The Maltings in Ipswich to Pertwee Estates for multi-million-Pound refurbishment, and the subsequent letting of the office suites; disposing of the 130-acre former British Sugar site; and acquiring 60 acres at Orwell Crossing in Nacton for development as Orwell Logistics Park, and being chosen as local letting agent for the ambitious scheme.

Vanessa was named as a Finalist in the ‘Business Person of the Year’ category of Archant’s ‘Suffolk Business Awards’ in 2021.

The Penn team now totals ten staff, based at Ipswich’s Fox’s Marina, where the Company has been based since 2010.
