IoD East of England Welcomes New Suffolk Ambassador

Local businesswoman Jane Beales has been appointed as an IoD Ambassador for Suffolk

The Institute of Directors (IoD) East of England region has appointed a new Suffolk ambassador. Jane Beales, a businesswoman in East Anglia and a member of the IoD since 2007, has been selected to fulfil the role.

Jane made the leap at the age of twenty-three to leave full-time employment and set up her own insurance brokerage with her late husband. Having forged a successful career and building a network of clients and professional relationships, Jane also set up Jane Beales Promotions where she currently helps like-minded business people to “generate prospects, business opportunities and ‘new business’”.

Taking on the position of a Suffolk ambassador at such a transitional time for the region is a challenge that Jane looks forward to:

“I am thrilled to be offered the position as an IoD ambassador in the Suffolk region. I am passionate about business in the area and look forward to using my experience to represent IoD members in the area and the great work that goes on here.

“I will aim to raise awareness of the various benefits of becoming a member of the IoD, the excellent work it does on behalf of business owners and the many opportunities it offers. I have been lucky enough to expand my own network through attending IoD events; I even met my business partner by attending a function in Ipswich. It really is a fantastic organisation, and I can’t wait to get going as an IoD ambassador!”

Jane will be responsible for promoting the benefits and events offered by the IoD in Suffolk including Lowestoft and local environments and the North Suffolk Heritage Coast.

IoD Suffolk Interim Chair John Cockburn-Evans said:

“We are very lucky to have such a capable and engaged ambassador team in Suffolk, and Jane is a perfect fit. Her regional knowledge and enthusiasm will benefit IoD members in Suffolk, and we look forward to working alongside her.”

As well as being a successful business owner, Jane also likes to partake in clay pigeon shooting and enjoys spending time on her partner’s sea fishing boat.
