Suffolk’s Steamboat Creative develops new brand for Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm

After completing a competitive tender process, Steamboat Creative has been appointed to assist with brand creation and graphic design for the Galloper extension project in the southern north sea, known as Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm.

Since being engaged, Steamboat Creative has worked alongside project managers at RWE Renewables, the company leading the development of the Five Estuaries project on behalf of the project partners.   RWE commissioned Felixstowe based Steamboat to create the Five Estuaries brand logo and website design, as well as associated collateral such as letter heads and digital templates.

Reb Capper, Creative Director of Steamboat, said: “We are keen to work on anything remotely green and good, particularly within the local region, so supporting the Five Estuaries project with branding and design services has been fantastic for us. The RWE project team has been wonderful to work alongside and the design process ran really smoothly with the brand being quickly established.

“Our work at Steamboat is predominantly about making things easier and clearer, whilst spreading a little more joy. We hope we managed to introduce a little of that joy with an injection of clean, contemporary design and colour to help ensure the Five Estuaries identity is memorable. The project name is a nod to the well-known estuaries along the East coast of England where the project is located. Overall, we developed a clean, strong brand that connects the five estuaries in five lines which form part of the logo.”

Five Estuaries Project Manager, Umair Patel said: “Working with a local creative supplier on our branding has been a great process throughout. The project website, designed by Steamboat Creative, is key in allowing the public to access clear information about Five Estuaries as the project progresses. We will continue to work with Steamboat on future design needs and are confident that stakeholders will recognise the brand as we move forwards with the project.”

The Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm is currently at an early stage of development and it is anticipated that the project, if approved, will become operational around 2030.
