Local MP visits East Green Energy’s newly expanded offices in Melton
30/04/2026 -
East Green Energy was pleased to welcome local Member of Parliament, Jenny Ridell-Carpenter, to its newly extended offices in Melton, marking an important milestone in the company’s continued growth.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the expanded workspace and introduce the MP to more members of the growing team. Discussions focused on key issues impacting local businesses, including skills development, infrastructure, and the pace of renewable energy projects across Suffolk.
“It was great to show Jenny around our expanded offices and introduce her to more of the team,” said Jack Gawthrop, Commercial Director at East Green Energy. “We had a constructive conversation about the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses, particularly around skills, infrastructure and the pace of renewable development in Suffolk. As a growing SME, it’s encouraging to have the chance to share our experience and ambitions for the future.”
The visit gave both sides the chance to exchange views and better understand what’s happening on the ground for businesses working in the renewable energy sector.
East Green Energy has grown steadily in recent years, with the office extension giving the team more space as the business takes on more projects across the UK.
