Princess Royal Commends Christies Care’s Training Excellence

On 2 November, Christies Care, the national live-in care provider based in Saxmundham, joined major UK businesses including RBS, Barclays, and Waitrose in being commended by Princess Anne for their commitment to training and skills development.

The Princess Royal Training Awards ceremony was held at St James’s Palace and recognised an elite group of 40 awardees including public and private sector businesses of all sizes, from areas including hospitality, healthcare, finance and manufacturing.

Each of the 116 applications was assessed against three Hallmarks of Excellence by the Princess Royal Training Awards Commission, which is made up of HRH The Princess Royal and seven leading figures in the business and training community.

Lin Barnes, Registered Manager of Christies Care, said: “The assessment process for these awards was extremely thorough and I’m extremely proud of our team and our industry-leading training programme. It was a great honour to receive the award from Princess Anne and to celebrate with my hardworking team.”

Alison Hawkins, Training Team Leader for Christies Care, added: “It was an honour to be invited to St James’s Palace and see Lin collect the award from HRH Princess Anne. It really was a day to remember.”
