MHFAE Mental Health training dates start to be released

Regional, not-for-profit training organisation Training For Life has announced the first of a series of Mental Health First Aid England (MHFAE) training dates and plans to release up to a dozen more courses early next month, spanning September to December.

Training For Life has accredited instructors delivering mental health training regionally, via Mental Health First Aid England – the only accredited instructor training organisation in England.  Courses include the ½-day ‘Aware’ course; designed to provide delegates with an introduction to mental health, the 1-day ‘Champion’ course; which gives a more thorough understanding of self and others mental health and the 2-day ‘Mental Health First Aid’ course; which is a very detailed look at mental health and a course where graduation from the 2-days results in certification as a Mental Health First Aider.

The dates are:

1 & 2 October

Mental Health First Aid 2-day course ADULT at Best Western Ipswich Hotel, London Road, Copdock, Ipswich IP8 3JD

21 & 22 October

Mental Health First Aid 2-day course YOUTH at Ann Robertson Centre, 55 London Road, Canterbury CT2 8HQ

6 November

Mental Health Champion 1-day course ADULT at Best Western Ipswich Hotel, London Road, Copdock, Ipswich IP8 3JD

“Courses sell-out quickly” said Training For Life’s Development Director Richard Stewart.  “Post-lockdown, we have been inundated with requests for training across workplace environments and for those working with young people in school, college and university settings.  The need for more knowledge around mental health for yourself and others has never been greater and we are looking forward to helping a lot more people learn a lot more about the subject”.
