Highwaymans owner is SME awards finalist

Juliet Fisher, owner-manager of  the stunning Highwaymans Self Catering and Events Venue, which is in Risby just outside of Bury St Edmunds, has just been made aware that she has been successful in reaching the finals of the SME National Business Awards in the Employer of the Year category. Reaching the finals of these National awards reflects the hard work, dedication and passion Juliet delivers to the business and her employees on a daily basis. Here she talks about her business and what the accolade means to her and her team.

“I am honoured to be selected as a finalist for Employer of the Year award at the national SME Awards.

“I have operated within the hospitality and tourism corporate industry globally for the majority of my working career, from the Hyatt Hotel Group, Dorchester Luxury Group, Center Parcs and a few independent ventures; up until 2011 when I became self employed and now own and manage Highwayman’s self catering guest house and events venue, between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket in Suffolk.

“Highwayman’s has a team of fantastically loyal, dedicated and customer focused staff. I believe in creating a family atmosphere, I hope that all my team can approach and speak to me with all sorts; from guest related enquiries to visions and future plans for the business.

I am also an active mother to Patrick, Theo, Noah, Caspar and Meralina, a step son Zac and I have a devoted husband to be Murray. I also have three golden children AKA retrievers, two black cats and ten chickens – even more reason to have a reliable, motivated and inspiring team of dedicated staff.”
