£8m Ipswich Regeneration Fund open for business

£8m Ipswich Regeneration Fund open for business

As you may know, part of the government’s £25m Town Deal for Ipswich is an £8m town centre regeneration fund. This money is available to bring empty units in the town centre back into use.

This project is now live and you can find all the details on how to access the fund at www.proudofipswich.co.uk.  It’s designed to be a user-friendly portal for anyone who:

  • Owns an empty property in Ipswich town centre (either freehold or leasehold)
  • Has a great and well thought through idea for an empty property in Ipswich
  • Has a viability gap preventing them from bringing an empty property back into use
  • Is looking for a property to operate from in Ipswich Town Centre

I have two asks of you:

  1. If you or anyone you know falls into any of these categories please use the website to tell us about it.
  2. Spread the word about the fund and together we can diversify and regenerate the town centre. You’ll find posts you can share about the fund on the Ipswich Borough Council LinkedIn feed (as well as on my own feed) very soon

We’re already getting some interest but the more interest there is the more amazing things we can make happen in Ipswich, a town which deserves to be vibrant and attractive to investors, businesses, visitors and residents. I’d love this fund to be oversubscribed because there’s so much interest in doing great things in Suffolk’s county town.
