StrategiQ took the stage for a trio of awards on November 30th, demonstrating outstanding results in large eCommerce projects for Factory Direct Flooring and Jacada Travel – as well as a Silver Award for Jurassic Fibre – Best Local Campaign.
StrategiQ have proudly scooped three prestigious awards for outstanding work in SEO and PPC at the UK Search Awards; a prestigious awards ceremony that recognises excellence in SEO, PPC and content marketing in the UK. Considered by some as the ‘Oscars’ of the industry, the scale of the event is awe-inspiring with 69 categories and up to 12 projects shortlisted in each.
The shortlists read like a Who’s Who of search marketing excellence, featuring projects for household brands such as O2, Kegel8, George at ASDA and The Cotswold Company alongside StrateqiQ’s own award-winning entry for Factory Direct Flooring in the ‘Best Use of Search’ – Retail/Ecommerce – SEO.
These awards build on the company’s own growing presence in the space, winning Best Small Integrated Search Agency back in 2018 followed by recognition in the Best SEO Campaign (Large) campaign 2021 for their work with Reuters.com – not to mention Silver awards last year for content strategy for The Air Ambulance Service.
The team were also shortlisted for the following categories, taking their total nominations to eight:
“I am thrilled with the result, which is a true milestone for us as an agency. To gain industry recognition for two large projects in both SEO and PPC, as well as a Silver Award for Best Local Campaign in PPC, is a huge achievement. One award would’ve been a delight. But three is incredible!” Said James Bavington, CXO, StrategiQ
“The award wins top off the year for what amounts to a huge amount of collaboration, hard work and a fair few sleepless nights”.
“Big credit goes to our newly minted Head of SEO, Phill Pratt, who took the lead on the SEO side, and to Marketing and Performance Director Charlie Taylor, supported by Paid Media Manager Poppy Court, and Head of Performance, Josh Crawford for their incredible efforts on the PPC and Performance projects”.
“Full credit to Phill” James continued, “it’s a big win for him personally, and of course, to the amazing Paid Media/Performance gurus, Poppy and Josh. I’m blown away by the talent that we have across SEO and PPC here at StrategiQ. These guys fully deserve the credit.”
Whilst StrategiQ await the judge’s feedback one thing they have noticed is that their winning entries have been very focused on supporting businesses through tough times. Factory Direct Flooring, for example, experienced a short-lived boom in trade when people rushed online to buy DIY flooring during the pandemic, but their online visibility dropped considerably afterward and StrategiQs remit was to very carefully got them back where they needed to be – and beyond.
“We’re delighted that the judges recognised the incredible effort involved in recovering FDF’s online visibility – as an eCommerce business, search engine performance is critical to FDF’s ongoing success.” James explained, “Jacada too, is a story about rebuilding a client’s online success, carrying out due diligence and engaging clever data strategies to help this luxury travel brand recover stronger than ever from the battering effect of the pandemic”.
StrategiQ are very sure that collaboration plays a big part in their success story. “As an agency, we don’t go about thinking we can do it all ourselves – we’re pretty certain that the judges approved of the way we approach challenges – by having open and honest conversations with the other agencies and partners in our space. Basically, when it comes to solving tricky problems, many heads are infinitely better than one”.
