Hugh J Boswell, an independent chartered Insurance Broker, have the following job vacancy in Norwich;


Responsible for delivering technical, administrative and client service support to the Managing Director and broke clients’ insurance programmes, you will support the Corporate Supervisor, providing  leadership and supervision. Clients will typically be East Anglia based and products can cover any form of business insurance specific to the Client’s needs.  You must possess the ability to manage a complex portfolio and have 2 years minimum experience as a Senior Handler and Cii Certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Management of the account day to day as agreed with Account Executive
  • Ensure team workflow is managed to deadlines, including those set by the FCA
  • Support Business Support Manager in the management and leadership of the Corporate account handling team including training and mentoring as necessary
  • Technical reference point for Account Handlers, clients and colleagues
  • Complete the administration of client’s insurance requirements on a daily basis including general enquiries, renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments
  • Manage own portfolio of clients renewing clients insurances as required referring to Account Executive where necessary
  • Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner
  • Input data onto the OpenGI system in line with the Company’s Open GI guide
  • Liaise with insurers and other third parties regarding the administration of client’s insurance needs
  • Raise invoices in line with Company accounting procedures
  • Liaise with other departments within the Company to meet the needs of our clients including Claims, Personal Insurance and Accounts
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Directors/Account Executives as required
  • Accompany Account Executive as required and attend client meetings and supplier events, representing the Company in a professional manner
  • Adhere to all FCA regulations and requirements
