Christies Care Offers Businesses Free First Aid Training

Christies Care, the national live-in care provider, is offering businesses in its home town of Saxmundham free Emergency First Aid training.

Every business in Saxmundham can book one free place on the Emergency First Aid training for a selected member of staff. They can select from dates each fortnight throughout the year until the end of November on a first come first served basis.

Alison Hawkins, Training Team Leader commented “as we hold our training once every other week we thought we could share our skills with local businesses. First Aid is a major part of our industry-leading eleven day training programme for carers so we are practiced at teaching it. The Health and Safety Executive says that employers are responsible for making sure that their employees receive immediate attention if they are taken ill or are injured at work. Accidents and illness can happen at any time and first aid can save lives and prevent minor injuries from becoming major ones”.

Lin Barnes, Christies Care Director adds “2016 was a good year for Christies Care with the Outstanding CQC rating in December 2016 and the opening of our State of the Art new office. With the building work that took six months this is a small way to celebrate and repay local businesses for any disruption”.

To book a free place businesses should telephone 01728 605126 and speak to a member of the Christies Care Training Team. If businesses want more than one place there will be a small administration charge of £25 per person. A certificate will be provided upon completion of training.
