The Bell Hotel, Saxmundham welcomes new Head Chef, Garry Cook

The Bell Hotel Saxmundham has hired renowned local chef, Garry Cook, as Head Chef to spearhead the exciting food offering at the newly refurbished hotel – due to reopen in Summer 2022.

Garry, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the food industry, has worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and has a wealth of experience under his belt, including working as Chef Patron at The Crown Inn at Snape. He has also worked at Hanbury Manor and his own restaurant,152 in Aldeburgh – all of which have given him the chance to hone his skills and develop an innovative approach to cooking.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a forward-thinking team at The Bell Hotel,” says Garry.  “I love this region—the food culture is so rich here, I’m really looking forward to introducing some new ideas. Whether you’re at the hotel as a foodie, rambler or guest, I promise a menu that will delight, astound and leave guests with a big smile on their face”.

The Bell Hotel plans to offer guests two dining spaces; a classic, elegant dining room for lunch and dinner, and a more relaxed dining experience, courtesy of the Coast Lounge and River Bar.
