Pubs and restaurants support hospice with Dine and Donate scheme

St Elizabeth Hospice is on a mission to get as many cafes, eateries and pubs on board with its Dine and Donate initiative, sponsored by Thomas Ridley, whereby operators can choose to add a discretionary £1 donation (or value of their choosing) to the end of a customer’s bill or to the most popular dish on their menu.

Running throughout the year, and with no cost to businesses themselves, the ultimate aim is to help the charity meet the much-needed millions of pounds it needs every year to provide vital services.

Jazmin Peach, St Elizabeth Hospice’s corporate fundraiser, said: “We’re really excited about Dine and Donate as it’s an easy way for local businesses to show their support of our work in the local community.

“The charity needs to generate £10.5million each year to be able to provide essential hospice care, free of charge, for local people living with a progressive or terminal illness, with around three quarters of that coming from the community we serve. Working with local restaurants and other foodservice operators means we’ll be able to reach a wider audience about the work we do, from easing pain to giving life purpose, and raise even more to support those that need us.”

To get the most out of the campaign, the charity will support businesses participating in the fundraiser with a dedicated account manager and marketing materials.
