East Anglia based Lovewell Blake welcomes new trainees

Chartered accountants and financial planners Lovewell Blake has welcomed a intake of 23 new trainees – as it opens the recruitment process for its 2020 intake.

The firm recruits a new cohort of school leavers, college leavers and graduates on an annual basis, with all embarking on professional qualifications from day one.

The firm’s training programmes were recognised earlier this year when Lovewell Blake was once again named in the national Top 100 Employers for School and College Leavers in the School Leaver Awards – being named in the Top Ten employers nationally in the Accounting and Professional Services sector.

As the 2019 intake join the firm, the application process is getting underway for the 2020 positions.

Those joining from school and college start the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or Business Administration qualifications, whilst graduate trainees study for either the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualifications – onto which AAT qualified staff can also progress.

The new entrants are working in the firm’s offices in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Halesworth, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds and Ely.

“As a firm we are committed to training the next generation of young professionals,” said Lovewell Blake senior partner Paul Briddon. “It is always exciting to welcome a fresh group of enthusiastic young people, who have made it through our rigorous selection process into our well-regarded training programme.

“We work very closely with schools and colleges in the region to encourage young people to enter the profession, and to ensure that we attract the pick of the crop each year. I wish all of our new entrants every success, and look forward to watching them achieve qualifications, and progress in their careers.”

Students interested in applying for Lovewell Blake’s 2020 training intake can find further details in the careers section of the website. The closing date for applications from graduates is 20 October; the recruitment process for school and college leavers will open in October, with a January application deadline.
