Avanti reaches landmark anniversary

The end of 2019 saw The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd reach 20 years of trading, a landmark that MD Victoria Sharp is understandably rather proud of.

These last two decades have seen the landscape for business owners change dramatically; 1999 news articles predicted the rise of ‘net-friendly’ computers, and in 2020 cloud-based systems have become the norm; An evolution that last year saw HMRC implement one of the biggest shake-ups to the tax system – the introduction of making Tax Digital for VAT registered businesses.

In 1999 platforms such as Facebook, Xero, Paypal and Twitter were far from the household names they are today but experts predicted that online business would grow tenfold in just 5 years. Now, these companies have become established tools that help business owners to process payments and market products and services to clients globally. Alongside these developments, the high street has also changed dramatically and Avanti has evolved as a company to utilise these tools and develop to meet the growing and changing needs of their clients.

There is little time for celebration though as Victoria and the team are aiming to file all clients’ tax returns online.on time. no fine for the 20^th consecutive year as the 31^st January deadline approaches.
