Trinity Park hosts ‘Festival of Fitness’

Trinity Park saw around 1200 people attend for the return of the Fit East Fitness Festival on Saturday 6th July 2019.

The event, run by Trinity Park Events Ltd, had a host of different classes for visitors to try from Bounce Fit, Fight Klub, Best You Boot Camps, Strong by Zumba and HIIT to name just a few.

The purpose of the event was to encourage the local community to get more active and boost mental health and wellness. The visitors who came to the event had access to around 30 different activities to try something new and encourage them to continue being active throughout the year.  The event is fully inclusive and allows people of all ages, shape and sizes to come along and have a go if they wish or talk to the many professional at the event.

One visitor said “I’m not really a ‘dancey’ workout type of girl, but I love Beatzfit.  I don’t think I did one move correctly, but they certainly made it fun. That’s what working out is all about and I love trying new things!”

Several interactive stands including have a go session with Taipan Combat, Pole Fitness and Elmy Cycles, who provided bikes for children and adults to trial cyclo cross, offer alternative fitness options.

The event also allowed free access to health and fitness experts from the Suffolk Strength Academy to give an in-depth analyse of the breakdown of body composition, support and advice on training to get more active.

The Fitness Festival hosted The Suffolk Games CrossFit competition for the first time this year with around 90 teams competing throughout the day.

There is lots more planned for Fit East 2020, organisers are constantly looking for more opportunities for people to try.  All activities at the event along with under 12’s are free.
