Caryn Franklin MBE (pictured), the former fashion editor and co-editor of i-D Magazine and The Clothes Show, and Style Challenge broadcaster, will be speaking at Suffolk Chamber’s Suffolk Business Women networking lunch on 2 May, sponsored by Gotelee Solicitors.

Caryn is co-chair of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer since 1996 and co-founder and former director of the award-winning All Walks Beyond the Catwalk. She has recently completed an MSc in applied psychology and is a visiting professor of diversity at Kingston University.

Having overcome challenges both at home and at work, Caryn Franklin has become a leading voice for empowerment, and is now campaigning to address sustainable body and beauty ideals for men and women.

Caryn explained: “I always enjoy sharing ideas and encouraging others to experience their own power to change things. Women are hugely resourceful and resilient beings able to collaborate and activate progress so it’s particularly exciting, to talk to those who have reached a stage in their career where they are ready to roll their sleeves up and say… I CAN DO THIS!”

According to Amanda Ankin, Suffolk Chamber’s operations director: “We are thrilled to have secured such a high-profile and authoritative person to be our speaker at this event.

“For many, Caryn Franklin is the epitome of style and yet at the same time an astute commentator on the fashion industry and how it needs to change. This promises to be an exceptionally popular event and I would suggest anyone interested in hearing Caryn speak should book a place sooner rather than later.”
