Delicious details of Anglia Factors Asian Cookery event in aid of Art For Cure
16/04/2018 - Anglia Factors
As part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, Anglia Factors, the makers of bespoke kitchens and interiors, is hosting an Asian Cooking Demonstration with local chef and restaurateur, Vernon Blackmore and friends. The event aims to inspire people to be more creative and daring in the kitchen and to raise money for Art For Cure.
In a rare and exciting appearance, Vernon’s mother Chiu Blackmore – who previously owned Satis House – will be cooking Soy braised chicken with salted soy beans and mushrooms.
Vernon’s friend, Graham Kill – who spent a long time in China – will be cooking Chinese spring onion pancakes.
And the man himself, Vernon Blackmore, owner of The Table, The Anchor and The Old Mariner in Woodbridge, amongst others, will be cooking Cambodian fish amok – A steamed or baked seafood curry.
Vernon’s excited to be back. He enthused: “It’s wonderful to be back at Anglia Factors for my 3rd cooking demonstration and to be able to raise awareness and money for Art for Cure which is a great charity – and the reason myself and Dan & Claire from Anglia Factors are taking on the Art For Cure Asia Bike Ride later this year.
He continues: “You don’t need to book, there’s no charge to come along. Just enjoy the evening and please make a donation on the night. There will be tasters!”
Daniel Barr, Owner of Anglia Factors, said: “We run these events so customers can be inspired to cook different things and see the fabulous appliances in our demonstration kitchen be put through their paces but great chefs. Guest are welcome to ask questions and taste the results. We hope to encourage new people into our showroom to see our beautiful handmade kitchens, to inspire people to try cook different foods and to raise money for Art for Cure ahead of our gruelling cycle later this year.”
The event is on on 25th April at 7pm at Anglia Factors showroom in Martlesham. Find out more about this delicious event for a great cause here.
