Classical chart topper returns to Suffolk for Christmas special

International vocal sensation and classical chart topper Chrissy Johnston is returning to her home county, Suffolk, to sing to you and bring you the magic of Christmas.

Featuring movie and Christmas favourite classics the concert is held in aid of The Sick Children’s Trust. Guest star pianist Geoff Lavery will be joining Chrissy on the day.

Chrissy, originally from Framlingham, has for the past few years been living in Europe.  Despite her young age she has addressed audiences all over the U.K., Europe, Asia and South America.

She was accepted with scholarship when she was just 18 to The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

In 2012 she made her Operatic debut at The State Opera, Prague as The Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Adele in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus and has sang more than 3 seasons as these roles.

Since then she has performed at Kazan Opera House, Russia as Olympia from Les Contes D’Hoffmann by Offenbach, sung on tour in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as The Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte and has sung 4 seasons as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at The Estates Theatre in Prague.

Chrissy released her debut CD last September with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, and her Christmas EP with Matthew Sheeran was released December 2017.

In 2018 Chrissy had her debut in London at The Elgar Room at The Royal Albert Hall.  This year she was nominated for a Classic Brit award for The Sound of Classical Poll and next year she has been chosen by Jose Carreas to go on tour with him.
