Event: Fresh Start’s Afternoon Tea Fundraiser at Greshams Ipswich

Local children’s charity, Fresh Start new beginnings, is hosting an afternoon tea with fizz on Friday 12th October at Greshams Ipswich.

Special guest speakers include, Maggie Oliver, the former detective turned whistle-blower who exposed the Rochdale grooming scandal, as well as Kieron Dyer, the Former England midfielder, commended for disclosing the sexual abuse he suffered as a child in a searingly honest autobiography, and Minnie Moll Fresh Start new beginnings’ ambassador and chief Executive at Jarrold Norwich.

The event will be hosted by Wayne Bavin and guests will receive a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival, to enjoy as they browse and shop at the pop up shops.

The event is sponsored by Brewin Dolphin – doors open at 1pm to sit down for 2pm. Afternoon tea is being prepared by students at Suffolk University catering department and  served by the hospitality department.

Patsy Johnson-Cisse from Fresh Start new beginnings, said: “The team at Greshams has been on board from the first phone call. The whole event is costing the charity nothing from the ingredients, the fizz, the teas and coffee, cooking and volunteers on the day. So, every single ticket sold is 100% profit to the charity. This really is a community event with lots of good Suffolk businesses and people donating and giving up their time to make this happen.”

Tickets are just £25 or you can buy a table of ten by contacting [email protected] or calling 01473 705111. Tickets can also be purchased on Ticketgun here>
