96 new homes underway at Ravenswood

Ravenswood will see completion of 96 new homes, built on one of the last sites on the former Ipswich Airport, completed early 2025.

This development sees a mix of houses and flats, designed for sustainability. The properties will include solar panels, plentiful open green space, gardens, and ample parking.

Residents will benefit from EV charging and solar panels, all of which support affordable living.

With the northern pathway complete and open to the public, plus the site roads, substructures, and foundations going in, the site is starting to look like a community.

Colin Kreidewolf, Chair, Handford Homes, says:

“As with all Handford Homes developments, this site will see designs which support our environmental commitments, and economical living.

With continued demand for affordable housing, and the need to maintaining a financially sustainable housing strategy, this development helps address those needs, whilst taking care of our environment and surrounding wildlife”.

Andy Laflin, Joint Managing Director, Gipping Construction, says:

Having previously worked with Handford Homes, we’ve found our values are very much aligned, our commitment to building houses that become homes and developments that become communities, and Ravenswood is very much such a site”.
