New Suffolk tech company raises over £2800 for St Elizabeth Hospice

Suffolk based tech company Lucky Ticket, who provide an online raffling platform for registered charities, has recently raised £2874 for St Elizabeth Hospice in Suffolk.

In response to the pandemic and recognising the challenges faced by many charities as traditional fundraising events were cancelled, Lucky Ticket was quick to spot a gap in the market for frictionless, online fundraising tools. Lucky Ticket’s platform supports registered charities in England and Wales and has already help raise over £23,000 this year for a handful of predominantly Suffolk based charities, including St Elizabeth Hospice in Suffolk.

A painting donated by acclaimed Suffolk artist David Gillingwater and a signed England football shirt are amongst the donated raffle prizes which have raised vital funds to help the charity support people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

Emma Lloyd, Operations Director of Lucky Ticket said, “We know that for so many charities community fundraising and events are an important element of their funding and the pandemic has impacted on their usual income streams. As charities pivot and adapt during these challenging times, our fundraising work with charities such as St Elizabeth Hospice is a great example of how collaboration and support really provides significant benefits.”

Emma continued, “Over the next six to twelve months we will continue to develop our platform, remaining committed to great fundraising innovation and making the support we offer charities sustainable, as the long-term effects of the pandemic are felt.”

Hannah Bloom, Director of Income Generation at St Elizabeth Hospice said, “On behalf of all the St Elizabeth Hospice staff, I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to the Lucky Ticket team for their support and for raising this fantastic sum for the hospice.

“The generosity of the local community and organisations, such as Lucky Ticket, allow the hospice to continue delivering care to people in the local community who are living through very difficult times in their lives.”
