Midnight Walk Postponement Plans

Midnight Walk Postponement Plans

This week we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Midnight Walk. It became clear that this was the sensible and responsible course of action following Government announcements this week.

Now that the decision has been taken and we’re in the process of re-organising, we are approaching the event with a renewed optimism.

We won’t be scaling down our original plans or compromising the full experience on the night that all of our participants enjoy year on year. We’ve been busy contacting our suppliers who have been very understanding while realising everyone is trying to find the best way to navigate a unique and unprecedented situation.

The new date for the event is Saturday 19 September. The additional time will also allow us to reopen the availability of our event t-shirts, which will be great news for any current participants that missed the previous cut off deadline in February.

Our fundraising events (the Midnight Walk being our biggest) are essential for supporting the work we do here at the hospice and further afield in the community. We are hopeful that all of our supporters will be able to join us. As well as remembering those we love, we hope to also celebrate overcoming a difficult time that will have affected us all.
