It’s not too late to enter the Ipswich Dragon boat challenge

With only five weeks to go until Ipswich Waterfront plays host for the second year running to the Fresh Start new beginnings Dragon boat challenge on Saturday, 1st June, teams are urged to get their entry forms in ASAP.  Currently 23 teams have signed up.

Many of the teams who took part in the first challenge are coming back aiming to take first place, along with many new teams have signed up for the challenge.  Will you be one of them?  There are only 7 team places left and just 5 weeks to get your team together to take part.

Dragon boat racing requires no previous experience, it caters for all abilities, is fantastic for team building and also great for friends, families and work colleagues to come along to support their team.

All you need is 8 – 10 paddlers and 1 drummer, who would be the first person to fall in!  Each boat comes with a qualified helms and all racing equipment.  Each crew gets a minimum of 3 races and will be entered into the souvenir programme.

This year, Fresh Start new beginnings are planning children’s activities and entertainment around the waterfront.  Currently recruiting up to 7 additional teams, children’s entertainers and attractions for the day.
