EACH in Lowestoft invites residents to join 10th birthday celebrations

A big week of celebrations are in store at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) in Lowestoft as the charity shop celebrates its 10th birthday.

From Monday, 15 April, customers will be able to enjoy free cake and fizz, take part in a tombola and buy one DVD or CD and get another free. There will be 20% off everything else as the shop’s birthday is 20 April.

Rowan Gaskin, EACH Shop Manager, said: “It’s incredible to think we’ve been part of the community here for 10 years now and it wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of so many volunteers. It’s thanks to my deputy and the current hard-working vollies these celebrations will go ahead as I’ll actually be away celebrating my 30th birthday on 19 April! Please do join them, have a piece of cake and see what bargains you can get your hands on. I know it’ll be a really special occasion.”

The shop, in London Road South, is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. It is always in need of donations of the following clean and good-quality items to sell: clothing, bric-a-brac, modern paperbacks, toys, jewellery, DVDs/CDs, household linens, retro and vintage clothes, and small electrical items.

The good cause also needs donations of good-quality furniture and can collect it free of charge if you are unable to transport it yourself. You can contact EACH’s Retail Distribution Centre on 01842 821620 for more information.

Anyone interested in more information on volunteering at the Lowestoft shop should contact Rowan by emailing [email protected] or calling 01502 563726.
