Christies Care Staff Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Charities

Once again the staff at Christies Care joined thousands around the country on Friday, October 19th to “Wear it Pink” in support of Breast Cancer Now.

This year they were also raising funds for the Blossom Appeal at the Ipswich Hospital.

The Blossom Appeal aims to raise £2.5m towards a new state-of-the-art facility which will bring all breast services under one roof, so that patients can be imaged, biopsied and see their consultant in one appointment.

The team held a raffle with prizes which were kindly donated by local shops and members of staff.

Members of staff also baked cakes and savouries which were sold to raise extra funds.

Everyone involved of course dressed in pink for the day, with a competition held for the best outfit.

The total raised was almost £500 for the charities.

The management expressed their thanks for all the support of the staff at Christies Care and also to all who donated prizes for our raffle;

Bella’s Hair & Beauty, East of England Co-op, Platts Fruit & Veg, The Meare Tea Room Thorpness, Angels Beauty Clinic, Waitrose, Tesco, Friday Street Farm Shop & Café, Fishers Home Hardware, The Poacher’s Pocket, Kelsale, Saxmundham & Belle Coaches.
