Anglia Factors celebrates 10 years of supporting local sailing

Anglia Factors, the makers of bespoke kitchens, are sponsoring the Cadet Open Meeting at Waldringfield Sailing Club for the tenth year. The event on 24 & 25 June brings together boys and girls aged 7 to 17 for a series of six dinghy races on the River Deben. There is also a one day Laser Radial Open race for U21s. Entry Fees are £30 per cadet and £15 per Laser.

With the help of its sponsors, Waldringfield Sailing Club’s Cadet Squadron is training and developing world class sailors. In 2012 the club was represented by four young sailors at the World Championships in Tasmania. In 2013, three sailors from the club competed as part of the British team. And each year they continue to compete for places on the team.

Daniel Barr, owner of Anglia Factors, said: “The local community has looked after us over the last forty years and so we like to put a bit back. One way for us to do this is by supporting local clubs that give kids opportunities to learn new skills, take part in healthy activities, socialise and most importantly get moving in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. We go along to these events so we see first-hand the difference they make. It’s a real pleasure to be a part of it.”

The event is held at Waldringfield Sailing Club, Waldringfield, Suffolk, IP12 4QL. Contact Jamie Whittle on 07905400234 or [email protected] or visit www.waldringfieldsc.com for more info.
