Suffolk Business Reaches 10 Year Milestone

Multi-award-winning Suffolk business Your Telemarketing Ltd is celebrating its tenth anniversary, taking on new larger office space in Bury St Edmunds and creating new local jobs in 2021.

Founded in 2011 by former corporate sales director, Laura Morrison, Your Telemarketing supports local enterprise by helping businesses to develop their sales funnel. Offering marketing advice and telemarketing services, the business has grown steadily over the last ten years, winning national and regional awards for innovation, corporate social responsibility, and best employer along the way. Further milestones included signing the Armed Forces Covenant and being presented with first bronze and then silver Employer Recognition Award for supporting the armed forces community.

“I can’t deny that it has sometimes been a difficult journey,” said MD Laura Morrison. “I found the banks unwilling to support me and we have also had economic challenges, not to mention this pandemic, to deal with. However, I have an amazing team working with me, and we have had lots of fun along the way. I try to make the working environment somewhere that people feel comfortable and happy.”

Laura puts her success story down to hard work and passion. She also attributes her achievements to working with business coach, Peter Basford, of BGCN. “Anyone in business knows it can be incredibly challenging, no more so than in the last fourteen months. Peter has been invaluable as a sounding board, and objective outlook. He will tell me if my ideas are nonsense and encourage me when I need it. He holds me accountable, ensuring I keep focused and driven,” stated Laura.

Although the business has been unable to celebrate with a social gathering, an event is planned for later in the summer. Additionally, preparations are underway for mini celebrations and fundraising initiatives through the year, themed around the number ten. As restrictions ease, Laura is recruiting for additional team members, and has a positive outlook for the next ten years.
