Lovewell Blake has boosted its specialist Corporate Finance team with the appointment of experienced deal-maker Ben Anstee as a corporate finance executive, based in the firm’s Bury St Edmunds office.
Ben will be focusing on expanding the firm’s mergers and acquisitions portfolio in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, working alongside Corporate Finance partner Matt Crawley.
Mr Anstee joins from a specialist corporate broking firm in Cambridge, where he led on a number of high-profile deals, including the sale of chemical analytics firm Anatune to Crawford Scientific and a large-scale deal in the digital TV listings sector.
He started his career in a general accountancy practice in Suffolk, before undertaking a degree in Business and Finance at the University of Hertfordshire and specialising in corporate finance.
“We are delighted to welcome such a dynamic deal-maker,” said Mr Crawley. “Ben has a really entrepreneurial mindset and strong contacts in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, where he will seek to expand our reach in the corporate finance sector.
“Lovewell Blake is one of very few accountancy practices with a genuine specialist Corporate Finance team, and unlike specialist deal-only brokers, we can offer all of the complementary services to maximise the scope of any deal we handle.”
Lovewell Blake’s Corporate Finance team provides specialist advice on mergers and acquisitions, disposals and divestments, management buy-outs and buy-ins, due diligence and business investigations, as well as reconstructions and reorganisations, raising debt and equity finance, business valuations and working with family businesses to plan succession.
