New board member for Suffolk Chamber in Greater Ipswich

The Suffolk Chamber has appointed a new member to its board. Anne Gordon, Finance Director of MSC (UK) Ltd., the UK agent for leading global container shipping line Mediterranean Shipping Company, joins the board of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in Greater Ipswich later this month.

Anne replaces Peter Johnson who stands down after many years’ service as a board member.

Anne Gordon explained her reasoning for accepting the invitation to become a board member as being “both personal and professional. I’ve lived in the area for over 25 years and raised my family here. I would like to be able to play a positive role in the community in which my children have grown up and now work.

“MSC, based at the Ransomes Europark, is a major employer with 600 employees across Suffolk and so I would like to help ensure that Ipswich continues to be an attractive area to live and work in.”

Catherine Johnson, chair of Suffolk Chamber in Greater Ipswich, said “I’d like to thank Peter for all his hard work and wisdom and to welcome Anne to the team. Our board is very hands-on and determined to help ensure that the town and its surrounding villages realise their full economic and social potential.”
