Framlingham Technology Centre is putting renewed emphasis on the power of local connections this year, as it launches a referral initiative aimed at strengthening the business community that has steadily gathered around the site.
The Centre has long been a home for small firms, freelancers and start‑ups looking for a base in rural Suffolk without losing the sense of being part of something bigger. Increasingly, those joining aren’t arriving through marketing campaigns but through the kind of informal introductions that happen at local events, over coffee in town or between neighbouring businesses.
Staff at the Centre say these word‑of‑mouth referrals tend to bring in people who settle quickly and contribute to the collaborative feel that has become part of the building’s identity. Many of the tenants who arrived this way have stayed on, grown their businesses and become part of the wider network that links Framlingham with the surrounding area.
With 2026 expected to be a busy year for Suffolk’s independent business scene, the Centre is looking to build on that momentum. As part of its plans, it has introduced a small thank‑you gesture: anyone who successfully refers a new tenant will be entered into a draw to win a Fortnum & Mason hamper.
The team describes it as a simple way of recognising the people who help the Centre grow — not through big campaigns, but through everyday conversations and local goodwill.
Referrals can be made by emailing team@t-centre.co.uk with a brief introduction. From there, the Centre will take the lead.
