Me & My Bestfriend – Child & Dog Day at Canine Creche

Me & My Bestfriend – Child & Dog Day at Canine Creche

Date released for the popular summer holiday scheme where children and dogs can spend the day together learning and playing at the Canine Creche. Candace Rose, MD of The Canine Creche Group explains…

Over the years, many clients during the summer holidays have dropped their dogs for day creche whilst taking their children out for a days activities.  During this time, the children love to learn more about dogs, chatting to the staff, and viewing the pooches on our CCTV system.

Frequently, the very harassed Mums have made comments “wish you took the kids too!”, or “They don’t want to go to grandmas again, and I have to go to work”. These statements got our creative wheels turning and before you could wave a magic wand, we had invented the Me & My Best Friend program.

Over the long summer holidays, parents sometimes run out of things for the youngsters to do, and some simply have to go to work, this program is designed so you can drop both four-legged and two-legged kids at the crèche and not worry!”

The team headed up by our Trainer Rachel from Canine Crossfit & Coaching, will care for the dogs and the kids and ensure they have a jam-packed day, they go on a nature trail walk, learn some doggie first aid and grooming techniques.  Then some Wacky Races including apple bobbing and Musical Sits.

Rachel will teach them all some boredom busters to play with Fido at home and there is a session on Canine Body Language, we conclude the day with setting the room up exactly like a day creche and letting them be Canine Creche Carers. A homemade lunch is provided by a local catering firm, refreshments and everything you can imagine has been catered for.

If you don’t have a dog and are thinking about getting one, we can even “lend” some steady trustworthy pooches that belong to the staff. Its educational, fun, varied and a very different and unique day that helps to bond the relationship between your children and pooch.

Candace Rose explained that the company obtained a full specialist insurance policy to cover this unique program, and then DBS checked the staff to comply with regulations.

The date for this dogtastic summer activity is Friday 24th August 2018. The minimum age for children is 6 years old. Further info is available from [email protected] or 01473 636151.
