FRAMLINGHAM TECHNOLOGY CENTRE UNVEILS £720,000 REFURBISHMENT WITH EXCLUSIVE REOPENING EVENT

Framlingham Technology Centre is excited to announce the reopening of its newly refurbished ground floor, following a transformative £720,000 upgrade. The state-of-the-art technology centre will officially reopen its doors on Wednesday, 27th March 2025, marking a new chapter for innovation and economic growth in Suffolk.

Since its opening in 2001, Framlingham Technology Centre has earned a reputation as a thriving hub where organisations flourish, with new products and partnerships often emerging from the collaborative spirit among tenants. It has also delivered significant economic benefits to the region, with businesses collectively achieving an annual turnover exceeding £16m in recent years.

However, the ground floor sustained substantial damage during Storm Babet in October last year, disrupting operations and forcing businesses to relocate to higher floors. Sixteen staff members even had to sleep on makeshift beds as the storm battered the building.

The reconstruction project, carried out by Suffolk-based contractors Mixbrow, has introduced a new reception area, refreshment zone, lounge, conference facilities, and state-of-the-art office and workshop spaces. Part of the ground floor has also been redeveloped into a dynamic new hub and co-working area, FramFlex, providing businesses with a modern, collaborative environment designed to encourage innovation and growth.

The extensive renovation will improve Framlingham Technology Centre’s role as a dynamic hub for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established tech businesses. The newly upgraded facilities have been designed to nurture collaboration, create skilled job opportunities, and bolster the region’s flourishing business community.

Attendees at the exclusive launch event will get a chance to explore the cutting-edge new ground floor space and FramFlex, the innovative coworking space designed to provide businesspeople with a modern, flexible and creative space.

The event, held at the centre from 5pm on Wednesday, 27th March, will also offer attendees the opportunity to network with local business leaders and fellow professionals while enjoying light refreshments and canapés.
