Lowestoft’s Pancake Race is flipping back!

The annual Lowestoft Pancake Day race will return on Tuesday 25th February 2020 starting  at noon. The event  will be held on London Road North outside Halifax bank.

Event organisers at Lowestoft Vision, the Business Improvement District for Lowestoft (managed by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce) are encouraging local companies, clubs and mascots to enter this fun and friendly relay race.

Last year’s event was the most competitive yet, with a dozens of teams entering. The crowd were cheering on all the action and it was a great family fun day out.

This year, excited onlookers will be entertained by the Mascot Race which will start at 12 pm. Following this the local business Pancake Day relay race , teams of three will be duelling against each other over a short course.  Flipping pancakes as they dash the distance to the end line.

The hilarious contest will be broken down into heats followed by semi-finals and a final.  Who will be crowned the 2020 Lowestoft Pancake Race Champions? Will last year’s winners, British Heart Foundation’s, Hearty and local business Marina Theatre keep their winning titles?

Places are available for both races but are on a first come first serve basis,
