Suffolk Carpenter Runner Up in Top Tradesperson 2020

Brendan Boyle, Suffolk carpenter and joiner, is delighted to hold rank in an exclusive top 10 list of Screwfix’s Top Tradesperson 2020 (overtaking an estimate of 2500+ other entrants across the UK to the final). The 10 finalists faced a panel of esteemed industry experts, including representatives from Screwfix, The NICEIC, CIPHE, FMB and 2019 winner, Darren McGhee. In placing amongst other, talented specialists and recognised as an important asset by Screwfix, B A Boyle & Son have illustrated their value as a company to their thankful clients and to their community through their extensive charity work.

The Top Tradesperson title (which has been awarded for over a decade now) includes a bundle that consists of tools, technology and future training that comes to a valued estimate of £20,000. Boyle has said, “if I were to win the competition, I would use the bundle to help my business grow and support my apprentices.”

“As a young businessman, I have always been striving to go the extra mile to make a name for myself”, Boyle remarked. “Running a business and a charity can be challenging but I always put 100% into my work and do the best job I can for my customers”.

David Moore, director of brand marketing at Screwfix, has illustrated the importance of the Tradesperson awards: “This competition is in its eleventh year and it’s still as exciting as year one. We continue to be blown away by our tradespeople’s stories, none more so than this year when we’ve heard about how they have overcome the challenges of the recent months.”

The digital director at Screwfix (Simon Jackson) issued a statement to congratulate Boyle for making it to the top 10 finalist list, adding that Screwfix “recognise the importance of supporting our tradespeople and, now more than ever, we want to reward them for their hard work in keeping their communities and customers safe in their homes”.
