Antonov Airlines Awarded Air Business of the Year for the Second Consecutive Year

At the Freight Transport Association (FTA) awards night, Antonov Airlines was awarded Air Business of the Year, for the second year running.

The awards night took place at Park Plaza in Westminster, where over 450 guests from logistics, rail, sea and air freight charter companies gathered to celebrate.

Antonov was amongst the three shortlisted for the prize, which awards any air business that has generated exceptional results and set themselves apart as industry leaders that have made an impact.

Business Development Director from Antonov Airlines UK Office, Michael Goodisman, attended the event and collected the award on behalf of the company.

“Antonov Airlines continues to focus on engineering, safety, and customer service, and we are proud to have our efforts recognised with this award,” said Goodisman.

The FTA Awards are the only awards for the industry and aims to give recognition and celebrate companies in the industry. The entries for the awards are open to road, rail, sea and air operators, manufacturers, retail, logistics and supporting industries.

The event has gained a reputation as the most exciting event to grace the logistics industry’s calendars. And was an opportunity for many to network, have stimulating conversations and gain insight from industry leaders.

The evening was attended by Baroness Vere, UK parliamentary under-secretary (Department of Transport) and she delivered the keynote address, which touched upon the recent tragedy of people-smuggling in Essex.
