EVENT: ‘Supervising First Aid for Mental Health’ course

Mental health problems affect 1 in 4 British workers each year and there is growing evidence to show that number is increasing.

The negative impact on a business means that the costs to employers of poor mental health in the workplace are substantial – some estimates put it at an annual cost of £497 – £2564 per employee.

In order to equip staff with the tools needed to combat the effects of mental health Three Eggs Training are now taking bookings for their two day ‘Supervising First Aid For Mental Health Course’ on various dates from September to December at venues in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Ipswich.

“The two day Supervising First Aid for Mental Health course is a fantastic way to up-skill your team to so that they are certified in supervising First aid for mental health” comments George Bradley, Director of Three Eggs, “with so many people in the UK experiencing mental health challenges and organisations reporting a loss in man hours through mental health related issues it is important that your organisation understands the best way to handle this in a positive and constructive way”.

The course comes with an FAA Level 3 award in supervising first aid and aims to arm the attendees with Mental Health skills and knowledge in a very similar way to a physical first aider; helping them to understand more about mental health conditions on the workplace and the role of a mental health first aider.
