Suffolk’s tourism success story makes finals of national award

Letheringham Water Mill Cottages near Woodbridge are thrilled to announce that they have reached the finals of the iPaper Staycation Dog Friendly Accommodation Awards.

The awards, sponsored by HolidayCottages.co.uk and Sawday’s, were launched to recognise the growing demand for top-class holidays in the UK and to celebrate the country’s best loved holiday spots and were judged by a panel of industry experts.  The final results will be announced on 21st November at a glittering awards ceremony hosted by The One Show and Countryfile presenter Matt Baker at The St Pancras Hotel in London.

Letheringham Water Mill Cottages are a breath of fresh air when it comes to traditional dog friendly holiday cottages having blown away the cobwebs with their award winning 5* exclusive portfolio.  Set up in 2015 by Richard Gooding and Jacqui Fairey the business has gone from strength to strength and is almost always fully booked with guests returning again and again.  Shortly after opening their doors in 2017 they won Visit England Dog Friendly Business Award and they stay firmly on the map of luxurious yet truly dog friendly accommodation.

The cottages nestle in the heart of beautiful rural Suffolk, close to Easton and Woodbridge providing an ideal place to relax with two and four legged friends.  There are four magical riverside decked cottages all set beside the River Deben in 7 acres of trees and greenery at this historic Grade II Water Mill.  Dogs are allowed to run free and are always welcomed with a wonderful box of goodies to help them enjoy their stay (and their owners aren’t forgotten too).

Jacqui Fairy said this week, “We are over the moon to be a finalist in the Dog Friendly Accommodation Ipaper Staycation Awards and particularly excited as this is their first UK based awards.  It’s so exciting for our cottages to be recognised in this way as providing the best we can offer to both guests and their dogs is so important to us.“
