New research has revealed that Suffolk had the 6th fewest number of burglary offences in the entirety of the UK last year.

New research has revealed that Suffolk had the 6th fewest number of burglary offences in the entirety of the UK last year. 

The study, conducted by home security experts at ADT, looked at the areas with the lowest (and highest) number of burglary offences in the past year, as well as the areas with the highest increase of burglary.

The areas with the fewest number of burglaries in the past year:

Devon & Cornwall comes in first place, with a total of 1,285 burglaries being reported between October 2021 and September 2022. This equates to 199.85 burglaries per 100,000 people.

In second place is Norfolk, with a total of 2,068 burglaries being reported. This means that there were 226.26 burglaries per 100,000 people.

The area with the third least number of burglary reports is Dyfed-Powys, with 1,285 reports being made in total, equaling 245.84 reports per 100,000 people.
