Professional development evident at Orwell Truck & Van

Orwell Truck and Van have announced that after seven successful years leading the Ipswich Service team, Karl Pike has accepted a new challenge to transfer to the Colchester Branch as Depot Manager.

Mike Heeley, Commercial Director, said: “Karl made a significant contribution to the Orwell Ipswich business not just in his role as Service Manager, but also in his previous years with the business in various roles.”

Richard Handy who joined the company last year and has been responsible for Colchester to date, will be moving across to the Ipswich Branch and taking on the Service Manager position.  Richard joined OTV after 12 years with Volvo Felixstowe where he managed an 11 bay operation and the redevelopment of the site. Prior to that Richard worked for 13 years in the service and parts departments at Coopers BMW.

Mike Heeley, Commercial Director, also added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both Karl and Richard, and we wish them all the best in their new roles.”
