Board of Suffolk Chamber welcomes leading businesswoman

One of the region’s most experienced and respected businesswoman has joined the board of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the voice of business in the county.

Ginny Idehen joins 13 other leading business figures, bringing years of front line business experience across a range of different sectors.

After graduating from Nottingham Trent University, Ginny worked in a number of roles advising and mentoring companies for Business Link, the Government-backed support body.

After four years as head of business development at West Suffolk College, Ginny joined leading mental health charity, Suffolk Mind, three years ago and is currently its head of business operations.

Ginny has already served Suffolk Chamber in a number of different capacities, including most recently as the chair of Suffolk Business women.

John Dugmore, chief executive of Suffolk Chamber, welcomed Ginny’s appointment: “Ginny is an inspiring and incredibly well-respected senior member of the county’s business community. I’m delighted that she has accepted a role on our board, as her insights and wise counsel will be invaluable as Suffolk Chamber looks to further grow its range of services to our growing membership.”

Ginny said: “I am so honoured to become a board member of this leading Suffolk organisation that represents businesses so well. I believe strongly in diversity and the wellbeing of teams bringing about increasing levels of business performance and I am delighted to be able to continue highlighting in my new role how great a place Suffolk is for all types of businesses.”
